Lily's memento; 1976 - 6th year at Hogwarts. "Severus & Me; Perfect scores for Potions N.E.W.T.S.! Signed, Lily E., 1976"
Well, Snape is being his misanthropic self. My pieces tend to be a bit dark, it looked fine in Photoshop but anyway, Snape is wearing his classic Uber-High-Priesty-Collared black...turtleneck. And pressing his fingers to his mouth through the cloth.
I suppose he'd want to give a misanthropic impression to the public. Of course, with rampant hormones on the inside. Teenager, you know?
Edits: I apologize for the trouble, you'll probably see this popping up today. I have finally decided to desaturate this a little for that old photograph look.
Submitted for 's Christmas contest. Which the deadline is...today.
Characters belong to JK Rowling, I only play with them on occasion.
hey, I know I don't comment as much as I probably should (you're too damn good at what you do, that's the trouble )
but my only critique is that Snape's thumb by his mouth seems a little short. I know it looks awsome anyway, but it looks slightly strange to me. and that's the only thing I'm going to say. I can't critique deeper because I'm not as good as you are, not by a long shot.
anyway, the whole thing is great! - the atmosphere in it is wonderful, and Lilly looks so happy and cute... I dig the Magenta colour you used on her hair. the texture on the book hasn't escaped my notice - that must have given you a bit of a headache.
and snape, ooh, his eyes look simply fab... got a bit of a "Vincent Valentine" from FF7 look about him with that poloneck covering half of his face. dreamy. now I can tell why he has so many rabid fangirls.
the handwriting is a nice addition too - it's yours, isn't it? lovely stuff. I always thought that your penmanship was better than mine - mine is worse than a drunken monkey.
and finally, I'll finish off by saying this: I can't believe you have 167 views and 16 favourites, and yet only six comments. that sort of thing should be outlawed, especially when it looks as good as this.

"I found a body!"
-"What kind?"
"A dead one, what other sort is there?"
"we could not find anybody with something bad to say about Alicia Keys, and being british, we tried. "
That is a long comment. Love you for it.
I mourn at my drawn hands. I really need to stop using my own hands as a reference. Ridiculously short thumb. Hehehe. Yeah, the handwriting's mine. LOL, on computer at least I can keep erasing til I get something remotely legible.
The book was less trouble than it looked~nothing some texture photos can't fix. Rather, it was the title on the book that gave me problems. Trouble skewing the words on PS. Woah, you give Severus too much credit by comparing him to Vincent (so pretty.). ROFL. (shhh, personally I compare him to Alucard, that snarkiness and smirks.)
Everybody is a comment whore. At least, I'm one. I can't force people to comment, but C&C ALWAYS makes my day. Thank you for that well thought out comment, I really appreciate that!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
